Cast consistent cavities at any volume

From simple dump boxes to complex, multi-cavity cores for castings like engine blocks, core box tooling from Anderson Global produces reliable, repeatable cores, time after time.

In high-volume applications, we’ve built durable, consistent tooling that stands up to years of wear, even in the most complex applications (10+ cavities) and nonstandard materials, like urethane.

Smart core box engineering delivers durability and consistency

Accuracy and tight tolerances are part of the design

When a cold core goes into a hot mold, it’s crucial that they interface correctly. A poor interface can lead to poor casting quality and accuracy.  However, with excellent design and manufacture, core boxes problems can be engineered away.

Our design engineers excel at adjusting shrinks and clearances to ensure your core fits into the mold, creates the correct shape, and achieves your desired tolerances — based on your application and exact specs.

    Core box technical specifications

Core box tooling from Anderson Global is durable, accurate, and adaptable to your needs.

    • Our core boxes can be made from steel (4140, P20, A36, H13, etc.), iron, red plastic, aluminum, urethane, wood, or any other standard material
    • We’ve designed for many machines, including Laempe, Redford, Palmer, and Hottinger. Give us your core machine spec and we’ll make it fit
    • If your casting shape dictates that a core assembly is required, we can add glue tracks and glue wells to adhere two cores together. These small details will alleviate downstream issues for your production team.

The total solution for your foundry mold needs

Whether your needs are complex, simple, or somewhere in between, our expertise ensures you get durable, reliable tooling that creates accurate and consistent parts from the first blow.

    1. A one-stop shop for your whole project

Design, simulation, casting process, machining, benching, validation — we’ll meet you anywhere in your process. No matter the challenge, we can solve it in our Michigan facility.

    2. Decades of experience

Our team of design engineers and journeyman patternmakers have delivered hundreds of molds and core boxes across every industry. And their expertise is on call when you need it.

    3. Modern, data-driven designs

All of our molds and core boxes start in the digital world. Problem-solving in simulations keeps issues out of your foundry and generates accurate data that makes machining, maintenance, and repairs easy.
